By now, you’ve probably heard that the company has been awarded a $10 billion air conditioning and air conditioning service deal from the federal government.
The deal includes an estimated $2.8 billion in incentives and is expected to generate more than $4.5 billion in jobs in the US.
The deal is a $2 billion, five-year deal that the US Government says will increase US manufacturing by more than 25% over its baseline levels.
It also comes as Tesla is looking to build a manufacturing plant in the region.
The air conditioning company says it will create 1,000 jobs and help support over 2,000 local businesses, and that the facility will employ 100 people.
It will be built on an 8 acre site in New Hampshire.
The company says that it will provide up to 5,000 electric vehicle charging stations across the state, as well as install more than 1,100 charging stations for Tesla vehicles.
Sierra says the air conditioning project will result in a $1.2 billion net investment, and will create more than 8,000 new jobs.
It’s the second time Tesla has secured a federal loan to build in New England, and the first time that the automaker has done so in a region with a strong manufacturing base.
