The NFL announced on Thursday that the company has teamed up with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) to offer new equipment to players.
The NFLPA said in a statement that the league’s new ProAdvantage ProAir System will allow players to use air conditioning, water heaters and other amenities that were previously not available to them.
The system uses a patented cooling system that uses a combination of heat and air to circulate air through the body of the player, and provides additional cooling to the entire body of an athlete, the statement said.
The league also announced that the system is available in “all 32 teams.”
It is available now for players who have an NFL team membership, which will be available for purchase on Sept. 14.
The new system will be priced at $50 per year.
Players will also be able to order the new system for the NFL ProShop on Sept 1, according to the NFLPA.
The company’s new system also includes a battery that will be able “charge and recharge devices, allowing players to keep playing through a variety of devices at the same time,” the NFL said in the statement.
The players association said it expects the new equipment will help “raise the level of safety and wellness in the NFL.”
